Vision

Our vision is the perfect expression and consumption of complex ideas.

Perhaps that sounds lofty and vague, but isn't the sort of the point of a vision statement? To provide a high bar that acts as a driving force for the company. I will explain what some of my ideas for the definition of "perfect" in that statement though.

First, I would like to note that this statement does lock down some particulars of the current operation though. The statement "complex ideas" means we'll be focusing on substantial content as opposed to Twitter's focus on micro content. The part about "expression and consumption" relates to us providing a platform with at least two user groups: authors and readers.

Disrupt Linearity of Content

Why is it that we start with outlining and then try to fit that outline to a "line" of content? Wouldn't it make more sense to keep the outline and build content around that? And while we're at it, wouldn't it be useful if parts of our outline could connect to multiple places in our outline rather than just one?
